Arham Eye Care and Polyclinic

Services

Modern eye care, from routine checks to advanced surgery.

Each service starts the same way — a proper, unhurried evaluation. From there, we'll recommend what your eyes actually need. Often that's not surgery.

Cataract surgery — Arham Eye Care

Day-care surgery

Cataract Surgery

A cataract is a clouding of the eye's natural lens. We treat it with phacoemulsification — a small-incision, sutureless technique done under topical anaesthesia. You're in, out and home the same day.

Lens (IOL) options we offer

  • Monofocal IOL — single fixed distance (usually far). The most predictable, cost-effective choice; works well if you're comfortable with reading glasses.
  • Multifocal IOL — clear vision at multiple distances, designed to reduce or eliminate spectacle dependence after surgery.
  • EDOF (Extended Depth of Focus) — smooth focus from far to intermediate (computer / dashboard) with fewer night-time halos than multifocals.
  • Toric IOL — corrects astigmatism while replacing the cataract. Available in mono, multifocal and EDOF designs.

Curious which IOL is right for you? Read our comprehensive IOL guide.

Glasses-free vision

Refractive Surgery — LASIK, SMILE, ICL

Multiple platforms exist; one isn't universally "best." The right procedure depends on your corneal thickness and topography, your refractive error, and your lifestyle. We invest in detailed pre-op imaging (Pentacam, biometry) so the recommendation is honest.

Bladeless LASIK

Femtosecond laser creates the corneal flap — no blade. Fast recovery, sharp outcomes for moderate errors.

SMILE

Flapless, single-laser keyhole technique. Excellent option for active patients and dry-eye-prone corneas.

PRK

Surface-based laser correction. Suitable when corneas are too thin for LASIK / SMILE.

ICL (Phakic IOL)

A permanent contact lens implanted inside the eye, leaving the cornea untouched. Best for high powers or thin corneas.

Glaucoma management

Lifelong management

Glaucoma

Glaucoma cannot be cured, but it can be controlled — and early detection is everything. We screen for and manage open-angle, angle-closure, normal-tension and congenital glaucoma with a stepped-care approach.

  • Medical: drops and oral medications to control intraocular pressure
  • Laser: trabeculoplasty (SLT/ALT), iridotomy
  • Surgical: trabeculectomy, drainage implants, MIGS

Specialty care

Cornea & Keratoconus

Keratoconus — a progressive thinning of the cornea — is increasingly common in young Indian patients. Early diagnosis lets us halt progression with cross-linking; later stages can still see well with the right contact lenses. Surgical options exist for advanced cases.

  • Corneal cross-linking (CXL) — riboflavin + UV to strengthen the cornea, halting progression
  • Specialty contact lenses — RGP, hybrid, scleral lenses for excellent vision in irregular corneas
  • Intacs — corneal ring segments to flatten the cone
  • Corneal transplant — for advanced disease where conservative options have plateaued

Vitreoretinal services

Sight-saving care

Vitreoretina

If you have diabetes, hypertension, or high myopia, the back of the eye needs watching. We screen and treat diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, macular degeneration and retinal detachments — and we don't wait if the picture is changing.

  • Laser photocoagulation — for diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears
  • Anti-VEGF injections — for diabetic macular edema, AMD, RVO
  • Vitrectomy — for advanced retinal disease and detachments
  • Pneumatic retinopexy & scleral buckle — selective retinal detachment repair

For little patients

Paediatric Eye Care

Children's eyes are growing — issues caught early are issues you can actually fix. We screen and treat amblyopia (lazy eye), squint (strabismus), refractive errors, congenital cataract and glaucoma, and allergic eye disease — in a calm, kid-friendly clinic.

  • Comprehensive vision screening from infancy onwards
  • Amblyopia therapy (patching, vision exercises)
  • Squint evaluation and surgical correction where indicated
  • Myopia progression management (atropine, lifestyle counselling)
  • Allergic conjunctivitis and dry-eye in children
